Day 4- Poolewe to Lochinver

Wow - sheer luxury and such wonderful hosts at the Pool House. Our room was themed on the Titanic with constant reminders all around us. We just loved the engineering in the bathroom and were so sorry to leave all this behind.

Pool House

A solid metal model of the Titanic was set into a glass top table. This is my attempt to introduce some drama into a photo.

Pool House

Sumptious decor and so many lovely little touches to make you feel rested and looked after. After dinner we heard some wonderful stories from the area and some heroic tales of the locals who helped during some horrendous weather and military action.

Down below was a secluded beach. Tens of seals delighted in resting awkwardly on smooth boulders near the edge.

Ullapool from the A832

A brief stop at the very helpful tourist Information Office and after a cafe lunch we were on our way again - looking back into Ullapool.

The autumn colours were just starting to emerge as our journey progressed to Lochinver. Still very quiet on the roads.
